A word from the owners

Kalani Kennels is located on Hamakua pasture lands on the Big Island of Hawaii. We are a family owned and operated farm with a small herd of grass-fed cattle, Alpacas, and magnificent English Cream Golden Retrievers.

Our dogs all have their hip (OFA), elbow, eyes (CERF) and heart clearances, and are AKC registered. We strive to develop strong, healthy, loving, and obedient puppies of show quality but primarily for family pets.

Our puppies are born in our bedroom. Then moved on to their home in the family room. This keeps a close bond between the puppies and the rest of the family. This is also the start of their potty training and toy fun with the elder dogs. At 7 weeks the puppies are moved to the game room with access to the outside. This allows them to learn to "go outside" and run and play in the grass. We also load up the puppies and take them for their First Health Exam with the veterinarian. The puppies get their first vaccination shots, additional parasite 

medicine and wellness examination.  At eight weeks old we start releasing puppies to their new parents.
